Fall is the perfect time to have a wedding. There are gorgeous colors and chilly days that make for the perfect atmosphere for an outdoor wedding. Here are a few details that could be just the missing pieces to pull your fall wedding together! From snacks and decor, these small decisions will make your wedding memorable for years to come.
Snacks & Treats
Everyone already loves fall because of the food, so why not embrace that for your wedding? This is the perfect excuse to pull out all the favorite recipes your family cherishes. This could be easily done by making “mom’s apple pie” into cute mini pies that are perfect for the dessert table. Pies are an easy option to add to do something a little bit different. There are so many options too! Fall is full of many wonderful flavors your guests will be sure to love.
Lastly, a few fun options include having caramel corn, caramel apples, or even feature the bride and groom’s favorite halloween candies! The options are endless, but one thing that is certain is that fall has plenty of treats that translate over perfectly to weddings.
Depending on where your wedding is taking place, Fall can bring quite a chill. If you want to have an outdoor wedding, there are still ways to combat this. One of our favorites is fuzzy blankets! This could easily be made into wedding favors with monogrammed blankets for each guest, or just kept simple with plaid blankets. Either way, everyone loves having a blanket.
Another option is to include a hot chocolate bar or even have warm apple cider. This is perfect for an outdoor wedding. This is a fun option to let people customize their drinks and this is friendly for all the kids too! Just grab chocolate chips, crushed peppermint, some whipped cream, and you’ll be good to go.
Lastly, you could have a bonfire at an outdoor wedding or even have mini heaters. Some people have had s’mores bars as well and just embraced the heat. This can be done with a bonfire, or even with tea lights at individual tables. Either way, warm treats are a way to keep your guests warm from head-to-toe.
Lastly, fall is full of many wonderful details that are easy to translate over to any decor you already have planned. Here a few details you might consider adding to anything you already have planned!
Painted pumpkins can make for the perfect centerpiece! There are plenty of ways to customize this for your wedding colors and it could be a fun activity to do with your bridesmaids right before the wedding. Another option for centerpieces is to use wood slices. They can be layered with the pumpkins to add some extra texture. Other people have even used them for table numbers or place cards.
One last detail we love is just taking advantage of all the beautiful fall colors. Whether that means you take a picture in a valley with tons of trees and leaves everywhere, or even stringing up fairy lights to make the night feel more magical, there are so many ways to take your fall wedding to the next level.
