Times are changing, and so are trends! We’ve done the research and compiled the top colors, styles, and settings that brides are embracing in 2022. After all, everybody wants to be on trend, right?

Colors

In case you hadn’t noticed while scrolling through Instagram, earth tones are extremely popular among 2022 brides. Sage green and blush pink are a common combo, and it’s clear why! These colors evoke a sense of warmth and love, and connote being in tune with nature- something society has placed on its forefront. However along with these warmer tones, light blue is coming into center stage, likely as a result of Pantone’s “Very Peri” being designated color of the year. This vibrant blue with violet undertones is a twist on periwinkle meant to inspire joy and creativity- and brides are loving it!

Styles

Brides are getting creative with their wedding looks, and we love it! Bold is in, and right now that includes square necklines, big bows, and overskirts. These features create dramatic angles and silhouettes that are sure to make a statement when you walk down the aisle! In addition, for many brides the second look has become just as important as the wedding dress, and we are seeing more and more white wedding outfits for the reception and exit that really showcase each individual bride’s personality.

Settings

Our communities took a turn during the pandemic, but now that we can gather again, brides are compensating by focusing more and more on their guest experience! Close, intimate weddings with family and friends are popular, but even if crowds are large, brides are utilizing different designs and layouts to make their receptions feel cozy and intimate. Soft lighting and clumped furniture arrangements help to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Other trends right now include destination weddings, as travel restrictions have loosened, and multi-day festivities- both of which emphasize the experience of the guests!
