Located in the heart of downtown, Shades on State is the perfect place for your unorthodox wedding event or reception.  We’ve recently remodeled our venue into a big, beautiful, and inviting space. 

We are a 10,000 square foot, second story (wheelchair accessible) full service bar, complete with a dance floor, pool tables, DJ booth, sound system, projector, and microphone. Our versatile seating allows us to accommodate events of all sizes, whether they be casual and laid back or require a more formal atmosphere. 

We rent out the entire space all day Sunday through Wednesday, and Thursday through Saturday until 6:00 pm. We can also reserve a VIP area for your group after 6pm if you’d like to join us on the weekends when we are open as a dance club. Whether your event be a bachelor/bachelorette party, wedding reception, rehearsal dinner, or other, we are happy to host! We will collaborate with any event planners or caterers that you may already be working with, or we can put you in touch with our network of outstanding local event planners, caterers, and DJ.

Due to the fact that we are a bar, we unfortunately cannot accommodate any events with minors. 21+ events only.
