Making the Most of Your Winter Wedding

Love is in the air, and so is the snow! If you’re planning your winter wedding in Utah and wondering what things to keep in mind, we have three tips that can help you make sure your special day is one to remember for the right reasons and not the wrong ones!

    Utah Winter Wedding

    Opt for an indoor venue.

One thing is certain when it comes to planning a wedding in the winter months, you can’t gamble with the weather. With many venues across the Utah valley, it can take a lot of work to narrow down your favorite few. However, the cold weather might help make the decision a little easier. We recommend booking a venue that is indoors to help you and your guests stay warm. The venue is also a great place to take pictures if the outside temperature is extra low.

    Utah Winter Wedding

Choose footwear with the weather in mind.

Let’s just say we’ve learned this by experience. If you’re getting married and planning to take family photos outdoors after the ceremony, do not be caught wearing open-toed heels. Your frost-covered toes will not appreciate your fashion choice. Choose close-toed shoes and remind your guests to do the same if they’ll be outside for pictures with you.

Take advantage of the snow but don’t be afraid to add color.

There’s nothing like gorgeous bridals thatlook like they came right out of a snow globe. Winter bridals can be chilly but definitely worth it. While you’re posing in the snow, don’t be afraid to select a bouquet with bright pops of color to match your color scheme. The snow can make your colorful bouquet even more of a statement item.

Sending warm wedding wishes and hoping that your winter wedding is memorable in all of the right ways!

The venue is probably going to be your biggest expense. Around $8,000 to $12,000 for a reception venue alone along the Wasatch Front. But there are genuinely beautiful places in Utah that cost nothing or close to nothing.
