The Ceremony was perfect. The music was all done right the timing could not have been better. That was about the only part that Kevin got right. All the music at the was wrong. Cake cutting......Wrong, bouquet toss....Wrong, Garter toss......wrong.......songs played that had been asked not to play......Played. songs asked to be played a few but most of them no played. Then to top it off Kevin him self making comments about how the bride and groom(Me) are doing things that is totally unacceptable. You are there to do a job not give your personal thoughts on what should or should not be happening at OUR wedding. over all Esperance. not good we will never recommend Kevin to anyone. he is a total waist of money.
Response from Kevin @ Public Opinions Soundstage:I was hired by the bride and did all my correspondence and coordinating with her. At the wedding I continually checked in with the bride and followed up on agenda items and order of events – I had little interaction with the groom. There were times when following up with the bride on details/agenda items that she would ask for my recommendation or how others (brides) would do it. I shared my thoughts based on my experience, but allowed the bride to make the decisions – she had control. I didn’t know that the groom didn’t like this level of involvement. The ceremony, dinner music, specialty dances, open dancing, and announcements all went great. The bride and I communicated throughout the evening. The other wedding vendors and venue staff were all on the same page with us and everything flowed smoothly. The bride and groom always looked happy and their guests enjoyed themselves and had a lot of fun while dancing. After receiving the groom’s review of our services, I searched and found a forgotten text message from the bride that noted a few additions and changes to the music, including music requests to go along with the cake, bouquet, and garter activities. I failed to make these corrections to my notes, and as the groom stated, I did end up playing the wrong songs to go along with the mentioned activities and missed a few additional music requests – I had no idea that I’d made a mistake, and for that I am very sorry. I did play the other selections from their playlist and the requests that came spontaneously from their guests. I was never given a list of songs that “were not to be played.” Yes, I made some mistakes and I’m sorry the groom was unhappy. Nevertheless, the bride thanked me several times and told me that everything went great, and I left the wedding knowing that she was happy and that her guests danced and had a great time.
Public Opinions Soundstage provided excellent service. They were professional and easy to work with. The setup happened unobtrusively behind the scenes. The sound quality was excellent, for both the outdoor ceremony and the indoor reception. They have an endless music inventory ( so provide a playlist of your must-haves!). And the bubble send-off for the bride and groom was a delightful end to the evening.
Kevin and Garret were both awesome. They are so attentive and help your vision come to life. They helped my dream wedding become a reality, and they kept everyone on the dance floor.
We had our wedding at the Draper Cactus & Tropicals, I had seen Public Opinions there before at a bridal show a couple of years ago and I thought their set up was great. When we actually booked the venue, I asked for a vendors list and they were on it. I reached out to them for a quote and Kevin gave us a good deal for the time that we needed a DJ, they also had the ability for a sparkler exit. Kevin was very patient with me, I had a lot of questions and I changed the music list about four times. When we first sat down for the consultation, I was not sure what to expect and I had been writing questions down for weeks. Kevin shared his experience with some of my questions and it helped make some of the decisions a little easier. After the consultation, I worked on a program and a play list. That was tough, because music kept popping in my head and you have so many options but limited all at the same time especially since you can really only play about 20-25 songs in a hour. Kevin helped with the program and did his best to keep me on time, because when it is your day and there are a lot of people wanting to see you and give congratulations, it is really easy for time to get away from you. I honestly could not have done it without him. They were accommodating and all of my guests had a great time, the music kept flowing and I am glad that he was there to keep that part moving. We would hire him again for another event in the future. Great job, thank you!
Our wedding day was perfect. The DJ made the reception feel like a wonderful celebration. We received several compliments from our guests on how fun, amazing, and enjoyable the wedding was. The DJ provided a schedule to keep the party alive. The dancing and music was outstanding. Several guests stayed until the very end because of the music and dancing! I would recommend this vendor to everyone!
