Envision your special wedding day without glasses or contacts!
I established Hoopes Vision here in the Salt Lake City area in 2000 after helping build a successful LASIK and cataract surgery practice in Kansas City. Being a native Utahn myself, it was a sort of homecoming for me. When I started this practice, it was with one goal in mind: to provide patients with an eye care experience that would exceed their expectations in every possible way.
We provide:
LASIK
PRK
Catarick Surgery
Please mention Salt Lake Bride when you contact Hoopes Vision!

I had lasik done almost 3 weeks ago and couldn’t be more thrilled. I thought for sure it would be somewhat painful and that I wouldn’t see clearly for days but it was painless and I could see crystal clear within hours of returning home. I am so pleased with the results, not having to wear contacts or glasses anymore, and being able to see clearly from the time I wake up to the time I go to bed. I wish I had done this years ago!
I went to Hoopes vision for a consultation on a Thursday and my surgery was done on the following Tuesday. I was impressed with the thoroughness of the exams. This place has the whole process down to an exact science. From the moment I walked into the door, they treated me with respect and consideration. Every employee I came in contact with was professional. Dr. Drennan was my optometrist that did my pre- and post- surgery exams and he spent a lot of time to go over all of my concerns. My surgeon was Dr. Moshirfar and he was also very kind, patient and thorough in my examination and questions. I had complete trust and confidence in him after our first meeting. The surgery itself was very quick, we arrived at 1 and were done by 2:30. They prepared me well for what to expect. I went home, got into bed and slept until my husband would come into my room and wake me to do eye drops periodically. After about 5 hours post-op, I felt like my vision, though hazy, was pretty good and I could keep my eyes open comfortably for longer periods. I slept with my shields on that night, woke up worrying my eyes would hurt, but they didn't at all. I was amazed! At my 1-day post-op, my vision was still foggy but I was seeing 20/15. It is a little strange when you've worn glasses for over 25 years to be able to see without them but it feels miraculous at the same time - considering the whole procedure was quick and relatively painless.
