Planning your honeymoon can almost be as stressful as planning your wedding! It’s something that you want to be as stress free as possible so you can enjoy every moment. Here are some tips to help your honeymoon be just as you envision.

BALLIN’ ON A BUDGET

After your wedding, it may seem like there’s nothing left to use for the honeymoon, don’t fret! One of the best ways to budget your honeymoon, especially if you are traveling internationally, is to use the local currency. Not only will it mean more to the people you pay when you go out to eat etc., but it will also cost less for you. Look for local attractions that don’t cost an arm and a leg to experience.

PLAN AHEAD

If you already know where you are going to honeymoon, it is nice to get a jump on any discounts that may be at your destination. Planning out transportation to and from the airport is also very important. You also want to make sure it’s a service that has reliable pricing. It is also nice to plan ahead to see what attractions are near where you are staying and make a tentative itinerary.

TAKE SEASONALITY INTO CONSIDERATION

Many popular honeymoon destinations will be more expensive and less available during high season months. For example, winter and summer months will be at their peak for popular tropical destinations. Also consider the weather as you are planning. Going somewhere tropical during monsoon season might not be the best choice.

RELAX! IT’S WHAT YOU’RE THERE FOR!

Relaxation is the most important part of the honeymoon! Wedding planning is stressful, uninhibited time with your spouse is what will make it all worth it! Make sure you don’t over plan yourselves so that you have time to just be with each other. Being stressed on your honeymoon is not the move!
