No one brings life to the party more than our favorite little ones. While they’re an important part of our family and friends, and we all want them to be there to celebrate your new marriage, it can be hard to keep little kids occupied at a very grown-up event like a wedding. Here are some ideas we found for you to have at your wedding, for the flower girls and ring bearers to have just as much fun as the big kids.

Bubbles

Having bubbles at your wedding is exciting for everyone, and relatively mess-free. It can keep people entertained for hours, whether your 2 years old or 82 years old. This is a great way to keep the children happy while connecting them with the grown ups who play with them. Whether it’s a small bubble blower or the giant ones as big as your head, it’s a super fun way to keep the kids entertained. You can even use it as a send-off which will also help the kids be more involved in the event!

Jump Rope & Hopscotch

Very easy to use, and very easy to clean up after, jump ropes and hopscotch are a great way to help the kids direct their energy. It also makes for the cutest candids, so let your photographer know to follow those kiddos around.

Coloring pages

Just print off some cartoon versions of you and your sweetheart and stack them up next to a jar of crayons and you’ll have some beautiful artwork decorating the walls of the reception.

Lawn Games

Who doesn’t love a game of cornhole or a giant connect-4? And these activities are not only great for kids, but everyone can play them! Throw in some spike ball and you’ll have everyone ready to play.

Treats, Snow Cones

Kids might not like some of the food and hors-d’oeuvres you’re serving, so set out a candy jar or two, or three, for all the little ones running around. A snow cone stand is also a great addition for everyone who wants a refreshing treat.

Nursery

Having a specific kid-sanctioned area at your wedding is a great way to keep the children entertained and safely out of the way. Include games, puzzles, toys, and snacks will help them have just as much fun at your wedding as the adults. Recruit some big kids from the party to help look after them and everyone will have something to do.

Movie

Putting a movie on a small screen for the kids or on a big projector for everyone is a fun way to keep them entertained for a long period of time. Throw on your favorite Disney love story that closely reflects the love story of you and your spouse-to-be.
