It is so hard to find the perfect wedding ring. There are so many different bands, cuts, gems and clarity to pick from. Ring in the new year with 5 new, sure to be popular, 2022 engagement ring trends!

1. Multiple Gems

Rings such as the toi et moi, trinity or other multiple diamond rings are gaining traction. Public figures such as the newly engaged Indy Blue and Megan Fox have kicked off this trend by getting these rings. Not only are these rings stunning and unique, but they are deeply symbolic for the couples that pick them out. Unique and new, these rings are beautiful and different from the traditional engagement ring.

2. Colored Diamonds

This year, couples have been straying from the typical clear diamond or mossanite rings and choosing yellow diamonds, sapphire, or emerald rings.These rings break the bounds of tradition and put a spin on the classic engagement ring. When you go ring shopping, consider a pop of color to start your marriage. 

3. Unique Cuts 

A trending new take on the class diamond has been on the rise as couples have been choosing rings with unique shapes. There is no better way to create a unique ring than by using a unique shape. Whether that be choosing a diamond with an interesting cut such as a tapered baguette or a lozenge or other customized shape. Many brides have recently combined multiple gems to make a unique design personal to the and that trend has only become more popular into the new year.

 

4.  Vintage Rings

Vintage rings are deep with history and romance. Getting a vintage ring whether it is passed down or bought, will always be timeless.  These rings are steeped with history and are classic. Not only that, these rings are perfect for the modern couple as the diamonds are conflict free and eco-friendly. 

For those who have had a ring but are looking for something new, it is not too late to take your ring to a jeweler to make some moderate changes. Using the diamonds but recreating the band has become a popular trend as the styles have changed.

5.  Oval Cut Diamonds

Oval-cut diamonds lost popularity but are expected to see an increased growth into the new year. According to Google search trends in 2021 ““Oval engagement rings” was the top-searched ring cut over the past five years” and that is not slowing down anytime soon. Oval cut rings, historically worn by Princess Diana and Kourtney Kardashian, are beautiful rings that are even more profound when worn.
